Now it’s official: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will remain at Arsenal! Gunners fans can finally celebrate, on Tuesday (15) the club announced the renewal of the Gabonese player for another three years. Aubameyang’s initial contract would expire at the end of the season that has just begun, and the new one is valid until 2023.
“The signing for this special club was never in doubt. It is thanks to our fans, my teammates, my family, and everyone at this club that I feel I belong here” said Aubameyang to the Arsenal website. “I believe in Arsenal. We can achieve great things together. We have something exciting here and I believe that the best is yet to come for Arsenal”, he continued.
Last season, Aubameyang was one of the Premier League’s top scorers, with 22 goals, second only to Jamie Vardy. He helped Arsenal to win the Cup and the Super Cup of England, his first titles with the club. At Arsenal since 2018, Aubameyang has scored 72 goals in 111 games for the team.
